Will & Grace (DVD) Review

Premiering in the Fall of 1998, Will & Grace is becoming one of the most celebrated shows of its time. Chosen for 49 Emmys, and success of 12 (including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2,000), the display follows the lives of two close friends who live together. With an array of other prize nominations – 24 Golden Globes, 14 SAG Awards, and 6 People’s Choice Awards, Will & Grace continues to illuminate the small screen with its special brand of comic humor and revolutionary show structure

Debra Messing stars in the part of Grace Adler, a right interior designer who goes in to an apartment with her closest friend Will (Eric McCormack). Friends since university, Will is a successful lawyer who also happens to be gay (ergo, maintaining their relationship from being a permanent romantic one). Having dated before Will arrived of the cabinet, both maintain a more intimate connection than mere casual friends. The comic sequences involving the two are complimented by Will’s flamboyantly gay friend Jack McFarland (Sean Hayes) and Grace’s ironic, alcoholic associate Karen Walker (Megan Mullally)

The Will & Grace DVD includes a number of entertaining episodes such as the collection initial “Love and Marriage” by which Grace, having received surprise marriage proposal from her partner, decides to obtain married. Meanwhile, Will thinks the relationship will be a mistake, and he chooses to risk his friendship with Grace in order to tell her Other notable episodes from Season 1 include “Between a and Harlin’s Place” in which Grace decorates Harlin’s apartment, but gets carried away with a cowboy theme, and “The Big Vent” in which Will and Grace start listening to their neighbors by way of a port in their own apartment
